Eureka! Zero Heroes

We were honored when Eureka! Recycling asked us to design an identity for their Zero Waste Summit event. The Summit is an important event, bringing together people in the Twin Cities region who are contributing to a zero-waste future as a means to help build the movement.

We leveraged the iconic exclamation point in Eureka!'s name to create a logo that embodies the idea of transitioning to zero waste. The letters in "Zero" cleverly diminish to the number "0", all while forming an exclamation point.

This year's event, held at The Brave New Workshop, was a great success. Attendees included the likes of Betsy Hodges, Mayor of Minneapolis; Frank Hornstein of the Minnesota House of Representatives; Keith Ellison, US Congressman; and representatives from companies like YOXO, groups like the Latino Economic Development Center; the Alliance for the Great Lakes; and more. Topics covered included cradle-to-cradle, tech dumps, regenerative urban planning, challenges such as micro beads, jobs, take-back programs, incineration, increasing recycling rates, economic incentives and education.
